Important technical features
AI-based detection of pin tips and reference points eliminates the need for exact positioning of the test object. This enables the integration of pinOPTIX into automated production lines, including the use of robots for object positioning.
Inspection in narrow connector basketspinOPTIX is able to analyze pins in very tight connector baskets, even when there are only a few millimeters between the pin and the connector basket. This capability is crucial for the inspection of modern, miniaturized connectors.
Robust pin tip detectionAI-based pin tip detection makes the system robust against undefined geometries of the pin tip. This ensures reliable inspection even with variations in the pin tip shape.
High-precision measurementspinOPTIX achieves a standard deviation in the lateral direction of less than 10 µm. In the z-direction, a standard deviation of less than 30 µm is achieved. This high precision enables accurate measurements of pin positions, wobble circles and setting depths.
Optimized working range and depth of fieldThe highest resolution is achieved at a working distance of approx. 70 mm and a working range of 40x60 mm. The usable depth of field is approx. 15 mm. The usable depth of field range for qualitative AI-based analyses is slightly larger.
Integration options / expansion options
Depending on the size and geometry of the connector to be measured, the magnification, field of view and lighting can be precisely adjusted. This enables optimum detection of the connector geometry and highly accurate 3D reconstruction. The adjustment of the optical parameters ensures that even complex connector geometries are reliably captured.
Special holders and fixturesCustomized holders and fixtures can be developed for special connector shapes to ensure optimal positioning and fixation during the measurement process.
